Associate Tech Lead – PHP/Laravel

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Tech Lead – PHP/Laravel to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PHP and Laravel development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to guide and mentor developers while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, best practices, and adherence to development standards.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in system architecture and technical decision-making processes.
• Monitor project progress and support timely delivery of development milestones.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in PHP development with strong expertise in Laravel Framework.
• Proven experience in team leadership or mentoring developers.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, MVC architecture, and software design patterns.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of Git version control and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Vue.js, React, HTML, and CSS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
