Social Media Account Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and growth-driven Social Media Account Manager to manage client accounts, lead content strategy, and drive measurable results across digital platforms. This role acts as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication, clear execution, and consistent performance across all campaigns.

You will be responsible for aligning internal teams, executing high-performing strategies, and continuously optimizing for growth using both creative thinking and AI-powered tools.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all client communications
  • Understand client goals and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
  • Present strategies, campaign ideas, and monthly plans for approval

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Plan and develop monthly content calendars for all social media platforms
  • Ensure content aligns with brand positioning and growth objectives
  • Identify trends and opportunities to keep clients ahead of competitors

Execution & Team Coordination

  • Work closely with design, content, influencer, and paid media teams
  • Ensure all teams are aligned and executing according to strategy
  • Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of all outputs

Campaign Strategy & Growth

  • Plan and execute high-impact campaigns that drive engagement, leads, and conversions
  • Continuously optimize performance to outperform competitors
  • Identify upsell opportunities and pitch new ideas to maximize client revenue

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor key performance metrics across platforms
  • Provide clear, data-driven reports and insights to clients
  • Take ownership of results and continuously improve performance

AI & Automation

  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, content creation, and reporting
  • Build and implement automations to streamline workflows
  • Stay updated with the latest AI trends and apply them to client growth

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in digital marketing / social media management
  • Proven experience managing multiple client accounts (preferably large brands)
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, paid media, and influencer marketing
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Good Sinhala communication skills
  • Highly organized, responsible, and proactive
  • Strong understanding of current digital trends and platform updates
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and platforms

Qualifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

  • CIM / SLIM qualification or equivalent in Marketing
  • Any additional certifications in digital marketing or AI tools
