Metana is a high-growth coding bootcamp specializing in Web3, Full-Stack Development, and AI-powered learning. We've expanding into the Business-to-Government (B2G) channel - a multi-billion dollar opportunity globally.

Our mission: Train the next generation of developers for emerging technologies while creating sustainable government revenue streams.

The Opportunity

We've identified $1B+ in government funding pools across 19 countries (UK, Germany, France, Spain, India, Singapore, USA, Australia, Japan, Canada, and others) specifically allocated for bootcamp-style training, digital skills upskilling, and employment transformation programs.

Your role: Lead Metana's entry into this new B2G channel by:

  • Securing first government contracts ($500K-$3M each) in priority markets
  • Building repeatable B2G sales playbooks
  • Establishing government partnerships and procurement relationships
  • Managing pilots, case studies, and outcomes tracking
  • Scaling from $0 to $10-15M B2G revenue within 18 months

What You'll Do

Immediate (0-3 months)

  1. Market Research & Validation Deep-dive into 3-5 priority markets (UK Skills Bootcamps, India government contracts, Spain Generación D, France/Germany initiatives) Identify specific procurement opportunities, RFP timelines, and decision-makers Map competitive landscape per region (Simplilearn, Fullstack, Guvi, et al.) Build government contact database
  2. First Contract Strategy Identify 5-10 "quick win" opportunities in UK, India, Spain (3-6 month sales cycles) Develop region-specific pitches (Metana differentiation vs. local competitors) Prepare bid materials, case studies, outcomes data Begin outreach to government procurement contacts
  3. Playbook Development Document B2G sales process per region (timelines, stakeholders, requirements) Create compliance/certification roadmap (Bildungsgutschein for Germany, Skills Bootcamps for UK, etc.) Build partnership templates (NASSCOM for India, Red.es for Spain, etc.)

Near-term (3-9 months)

  1. Land First 2-3 Government Contracts Close $500K-$2M in initial deals (UK, India, Spain likely) Establish proof-of-concept with government partnerships Build case studies: learner outcomes, government satisfaction, repeat order potential
  2. Scale Tier 2 Markets Execute on France, Germany, Netherlands, Canada markets in parallel Target $1-3M additional revenue from secondary markets
  3. Build Repeatable Process Train internal team on B2G sales cycle Create winning bid templates per region Establish outcomes tracking (job placement, employer satisfaction, government KPIs)

Long-term (9-18 months)

  1. Scale to $3-5M B2G Revenue Expand to Tier 3 markets (USA federal, Australia, Japan) if tier 1-2 successful Build regional sales infrastructure (local partners, compliance specialists) Establish Metana as trusted government training provider
  2. Optimize Unit Economics Track per-learner revenue, cost of acquisition, margin by region Refine pricing strategy (currently targeting £1.5K-€2.5K per learner government rate) Develop government-specific product offerings

Skills & Experience Required

Must-Have

  • 5+ years government sales or B2B enterprise sales (understanding long sales cycles, RFPs, procurement)
  • Experience securing contracts $500K+ (ideally government or large enterprise)
  • Knowledge of government funding programs in at least 1-2 regions: UK: Skills Bootcamps, apprenticeships Europe: Germany (Bildungsgutschein), France (CPF/France Travail), Spain (Generación D), Netherlands (STAP) India: Government IT training programs, state contracts, NASSCOM Other: Singapore (TeSA), Canada (Upskill Canada), USA (WIOA, GSA MAS)
  • Project management: Track multiple bids, timelines, stakeholders across regions
  • Research & analysis: Build competitive intelligence, market sizing, opportunity mapping
  • Communication: Present to government stakeholders, write compelling bids

Highly Valuable

  • Bootcamp, EdTech, or VET (Vocational Education & Training) background
  • Government relationship/network (UK, Germany, France, India, Spain, or Canada)
  • Experience with ISA (Income Share Agreements) or outcomes-based contracts
  • Background in tech skills, IT upskilling, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of B2G procurement platforms (SAM.gov, CCS, Proactis, Red.es, etc.)
  • International expansion experience (multiple countries)

Nice-to-Have

  • Founder or startup scaling experience (comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats)
  • Analytics/data skills (tracking outcomes, ROI for government clients)
  • Technical background (better understanding of bootcamp curriculum/outcomes)

What Success Looks Like

3 months:

  • 5-10 qualified opportunities identified in priority markets
  • First RFP/bid submitted (target: UK Skills Bootcamps Wave 6 contract)
  • Documented B2G sales playbook (region-specific)

6 months:

  • 1-2 government contracts signed ($500K-$1.5M combined ARR)
  • Proven outcomes from initial cohorts (job placement, government satisfaction)
  • Tier 2 market outreach underway (France, Germany, Spain, India)

12 months:

  • $2-3M B2G revenue run rate
  • 3-5 active government contracts across 3+ regions
  • Repeatable, scalable B2G sales process
  • Tier 3 markets (USA, Australia, Japan) pipeline initiated

Compensation

  • Base Compensation: 150,000 - 650,000 LKR (based on experience/location)
  • Bonus: Performance-based (contract value, gross margins)
