About The Role:

As a Full Stack JavaScript Engineer at Type B Digital, you’ll design, build, and deploy high-performance applications for clients in industries like fintech, healthcare, SaaS, and B2B. You’ll work closely with our technical leadership team to shape system architectures, improve developer workflows, and deliver exceptional software experiences across platforms. This role blends hands-on development with opportunities to influence engineering direction and technical best practices.

What You'll Do:

• Develop modern, full-stack web and mobile applications using React.js, Next.js, Remix, React Native, and TypeScript.
• Drive the architecture, implementation, and optimization of scalable backend APIs and services with Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, and GraphQL.
• Lead the design and development of reusable React components and ensure UI consistency across projects.
• Integrate complex, data-driven features and third-party services (e.g., Plaid, Stripe, Mapbox, DocuSign, Stytch) into React interfaces.
• Manage and optimize databases using AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Collaborate on cloud deployments through AWS ECS/Fargate, S3, Lightsail, and Load Balancers.
• Enhance developer efficiency through CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Vercel, AWS Pipelines, Fastlane, CodePush).
• Implement integrations with AI agent SDKs such as OpenAI or similar platforms to enhance product capabilities (a strong plus).
• Conduct peer reviews, maintain high code quality standards, and lead by example on secure and maintainable React/JavaScript development practices.
• Contribute to sprints, architectural reviews, and RFC documentation to ensure clarity and long-term scalability.
• Support mentorship initiatives, helping elevate the technical skillset of the broader engineering team, particularly in React best practices.

Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong expertise in JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
• Deep hands-on experience with React, Next.js, Remix, and React Native, building modern UI and UX for both web and mobile.
• Solid backend experience with Node.js, Express.js,NestJS, Fastify, and GraphQL.
• Strong database and systems knowledge: PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, and caching with Redis.
• Experience with AWS ecosystem or similar cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and deployment orchestration tools.
• Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and building secure authentication flows (e.g., Auth0, Firebase, OpenAI SDKs).
• Experience working with AI SDKs or agent integrations like OpenAI APIs is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimization in React environments.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Bonus: Experience with CI/CD optimization, mentoring engineers, or leading technical initiatives in React-based projects.
