Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of web developers and technical leads.
  • Set the strategic direction for web development and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, product, and engineering teams.
  • Creating a team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Assisting with the recruitment of new hires, training, and the onboarding process.
  • Identifying skill gaps within the team/team leads and updating the management team and taking proactive steps.
  • Working with the team leads and HR to conduct training programs for the team to upskill and develop the web development team.
  • Understand team allocation and profitability by working together with HR, Finance, and the management.
  • Motivating the team and team leads to achieve organizational goals.
• Project Oversight
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of websites and web applications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and scope.
  • Implement agile methodologies and best practices in project management.
• Technical Direction
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, development workflows, and documentation.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies that improve site performance, security, and user experience.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, SEO-optimized, and follow best practices.
• Quality Assurance & Performance
  • Oversee testing, debugging, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Monitor site performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Enforce version control and deployment protocols.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Establishing professional relationships with clients, team, and management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, timelines, and issues.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in web development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Framer, etc) and eCommerce solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing a technical team.
• Excellent communication, time management, and project management.
