If you are interested in learning and developing the skills and expertise of a Finance/Mortgage Brokering Assistant, or have prerequisite knowledge of handling essential administrative and loan processing tasks, together with a knack for liaising with multiple individual and institutes while adhering to strict deadlines and compliance regulations, this role is for you. You will train directly under an Australian Mortgage Broker and can use this specific technical skill to grow your career in a landscape that is globally in demand and would deem to be a cutting-edge advantage to master whilst building yourself within this industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Assessing, gathering and collating essential documentations for the application process and data validation process of the loan by liaising with the financial institutes and individuals
• Managing E2E loan lodgement (pre-lodgement, lodgment, approval, pre-settlement and post settlement tasks)
• Researching lender offerings and preparing product comparison reports
• Interpreting financial data available and negotiating the best price
• Ability to review and advice of credit reports and compliance reports
• Ordering property valuations
• Updating the client database and assist to manage the existing clients (refinancing, interest variations)
• Proactively coordinating and providing status updates to lenders and keeping the broker and applicant informed
• Keeping CRM details up to date

Ideal candidate:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance or Banking
• Familiarity and curiosity about basic life skills not limiting to loan processing of residential and commercial properties, vehicle loan processing, asset leasing, credit verification process (income verification, repayment plans, credit score etc)
• Knowledge of the Australian loan processing system and/or banking system would be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of a CRM would be an added advantage
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• Proactive and able to research, collate and resolve issues independently
