Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and seasoned Technical Project Manager with over 8 years of proven experience in managing and successfully delivering software projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical acumen, and strategic project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Methodology
• Lead and manage projects through the entire software development lifecycle
• Facilitate discovery activities while developing multi-level planning capabilities
• Continuously improve approaches to delivery based on stakeholder feedback and changing requirements
• Demonstrate adaptability across agile, waterfall, and traditional project management methodologies
• Apply appropriate frameworks and methodologies based on specific project requirements and organizational needs whilst meeting targets and outcomes

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience in:
• Requirements elicitation and documentation
• Solution design and architecture planning
• Test strategies and quality assurance
• Release management and deployment coordination
• Post-implementation support and operational integration

Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain detailed roadmaps, plans and resource utilised strategies
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, and leadership
• Define, track, and report on key performance indicators and project metrics
• Manage budgets with emphasis on cost-effectiveness and resource optimization
• Implement robust risk and dependency management processes
• Governance & Communication
• Establish appropriate governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms
• Create and maintain comprehensive repositories for documentation and artifacts
• Manage key stakeholder relationships and expectations
• Coordinate clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Provide mentorship to junior project managers and team members

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in technical project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects in a product environment preferably in Retail.
• Experience managing projects with SME projects ranging in team size 15 – 30 people.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-team software development initiatives.
• Working in a faced paced environment and the ability to adapt and replan based on the changes.

Technical Skills

• Advanced understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in project management methodologies:
• Agile
• Waterfall
• Hybrid methodologies
• Expert-level knowledge of project management tools:
• JIRA
• Confluence
• Google workspace
• Strong understanding of software architecture and development processes end to end.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

Desirable

• Qualifications in program, project and agile methodologies
• Exposure to program and scaled delivery is a plus
