Job Overview:

The Virtual Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier candidates while managing key HR functions, including employee relations, on-boarding, benefits administration, contract preparation, and compliance. This role requires a strategic and proactive approach to talent acquisition and HR management in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates using online tools and platforms.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, offer negotiations, and contract preparation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and workforce needs.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Manage HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain and update HR databases, records, and reports.
  • Foster a positive company culture and drive employee engagement through virtual initiatives.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees and leadership regarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and retention.
  • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring legal and organizational compliance.
  • Support on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees and contractors.
  • Address employee and contractor queries professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate employee training, development programs, and performance evaluations.
  • Support payroll processes by liaising with payroll service providers and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Handle correspondence and communication between the U.S. office and other locations.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and training effectiveness.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for HR and administrative services when needed.
  • Contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition and human resources in a recognized leading company, preferably in a remote setting.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, HR best practices, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HR software, applicant tracking systems and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies is an advantage.

Technical & Performance Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of HR principles.
  • Proficiency in HR management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Adaptability to work across time zones and in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
  • Place of Work: Remote (Based in Sri Lanka).
  • Work Schedule: Flexible schedule but must be available for overlap with U.S. business hours.
