We are looking for a natural communicator with outstanding leadership skills who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be building the PR function by setting up the structure, processes, and a PR team here at Surge.
The PR team will be helping our clients build and manage their brand image by taking on full responsibility for the strategy, collaboration, execution, and measurement of PR & media relation campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop public relations and communication strategies with goals and budgets.
- Craft and pitch brand stories, across a range of platforms, to promote the client’s company presence.
- Create, edit and update promotional material on online platforms and/or print media.
- Design and review the online content in media announcements and media kits.
- Develop talking points for management and employees, as required.
- Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it is in compliance with the company brand.
- Build and maintain relationships with a wide array of media personnel.
- Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy, as needed.
- Develop and implement PR policies and procedures.
- Measure and provide reports on each client's PR campaign to the management.
- Build and manage a PR team.
- Help recruit and train junior PR resources.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven working experience in public relations.
- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications.
- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and international level.
- Strong relationships with both local and international business and industry media outlets.
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
